The Orion Group™ is a collaborative of non-profit (501c3) agencies that have a shared vision and mission in supporting the needs of our youth and community.
The first company began in 1974, with The Orion House offering a residential placement for youth in need. The Orion Group™ continued to grow and now includes The Granite Hill School, and Orion Prevention, Information and Education (OPIE). Established in 2000, OPIE’s primary goal is to offer services to support The Orion House, The Granite Hill School and Sullivan County. Currently, OPIE is providing property management services, business management, board development, strategic planning, fundraising and community-based programming.
OPIE’s community based programming has included a variety of services to the local communities. This has included scholarships to youth in need for post-secondary training, behavioral services within the schools, clinical supervision and internships, as well as home based services to youth who are involved in the DHHS system.
